I fully support this rally...what I can do for now is to convince my friends to attend! I will also write some letters to TV and radio to cover this rally. I will also write on some blogs and invite others to attend the rally.

If you download the 485 form from the following url and go to page six, it states
"The check or money order should be made payable to theDepartment of Homeland Security"
I believe previously it used to be USCIS. Now what I dont know is if they will accept checks made for USCIS or not.

Hi Mehul,
I have heard in the past that Wife gets consideration in case of family problems like divorce.
Definetly there should be a way check with Attorney.

Just like everyother memeber has expressed opinion, i was shocked to read your posting.
May god give you the courage to handle the stress and resposibality you have now.
I keep trying to convince.."Did i realy read that posting or was it just a bad dream"..unfortunalty its not a dream..!!!
Do get it checked from well know doctors. Here is a youtube version of comenecement speach given by Steve Jobs. Even he was diagnized with cancer and he spent whole day thinking of his resposibality. But that evening the doctors realzied it was curable cancer and were in tears ..!!!

My vote goes for DC on 7/14. Many people like me might have already used their time off recently to get a medical exam and paperwork for I-485. I live in Baltimore area and simply cannot make it to DC on a weekday. If I lose my job I won't get a green card - as simple as that.
If there are others in Baltimore area who would like to join the action please don't hesitate to contact me. We could car pool and get together to make signs. I'll also try to gather some friends, although it might be tough on a short notice - almost everyone is on vacation.

Yes, I do have an update. See my posting the Lawsuit thread.
Note:
This Lawsuit Idea is on hold for the following reasons:
a) Not enough interest in the affected parties
b) Cost of the litigation would be upwards of around 30K
c) The counsel has recommended to hold discussions with USCIS official first and give them sufficient time to respond to our concerns.

May be not true, my case assgined to officer on june 29th and no news yet. But I wish Ski_dude12 good luck.

What standards are you talking about? All the universities in the US are standard and all are non-standard at the same time. There are no legally accepted ways to define what is standard. Also, the GMAT or GRE or TOEFL are not necessarily indicators of admitting brilliant students. Several ABET accredited departments in engineering schools do not require GRE scores! And yet they are ABET accredited. So this argument makes little sense. (Somehow I think, we've discussed this before :))
As purgan pointed out, the market forces have made this a great country. Even if you have an MS or Ph.D., but if you have no job, you are not going to get a GC; but that has always been the case. I don't know that you can get a job by paying a desi consultant 20K. If that is happening, the law will take corrective action, as it invariably does in this country fortunately. So there is no reason to worry about that provision in the SKIL bill.
But I do agree that it may be easier to get something like doubling the number of GCs temporarily, rather than a blanket provision, passed. (That is like increasing the queue capacity during rush hour and bringing it back to normal levels when the traffic intensity reduces.) But if we increase the H1B quota and only double the number of GCs, we will have an intractable situation.
