Basis for this "trust", please?
If USCIS continues to under perform, as they have been doing always till now (reason why EB3 ROW has moved substantially), then EB3 India will temporarily move forward this July.
My gut feeling is that it may move to end of 2005, this is to enable DOS utilize as many VISA numbers as possible during the last quarter of the FY before the unused numbers goes down the drain.
This is what Ron Gotcher also has specified.

If Microsoft with all the money and power can't get visa increase, it's naive to assume that we can do that in one shot. Let's just fry the small fish first.

First of all, ask yourself the following points before continue reading.
1. Do I need a Green card at ANY cost ( Any cost = Waiting for yrs, Not willing to risk any other options, afraid to raise issues, not pinpointing flaws )
2. Willing to fight for justice.

Just to remind ourself who we are. We are Highly skilled LEGAL immigrants. It not only means we are skillful but it also means we pay every damn tax which is out there. We pay for welfare. We pay for unemployed. We pay for pensioners. List goes on. We pay fees for every application processed by USCIS ( Labor, I-140,I-485,I-765,I-131 etc etc ). We pay rent. We buy cars. We buy houses. In short, we are nothing but GOLD to this economy.
However, this one department called USCIS is literally toying with us for yrs now as if we are slaves or we are obligated to them. We dont want anyone to do us any favour. We need justice.
Friends - I have self respect and i wasn't born chanting Green Card. I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won. People, the bill is called "Comprehensive Immigration Reform". It can only be comprehensive if it takes into account the legal population and the illegal population. This bill could not come at a better time for us with the mid-term elections coming up. The Executive Branch of Government is pressuring for passage of this legislation. It will be a huge issue for the mid-term elections. The Republican House is in a no win situation, passage means amnesty (their words, not mine) and non-passage makes them look ineffective. For now all we can do is sit back and wait and watch. It will take the majority of the house spin doctors a while to figure out how to proceed with maximum benefit for the Republican Party. This is the nature of politics.
For a little entertainment, we can always predict next months visa bulletin! (Sorry, I couldn't resist).

Congratulations Aman on your green card.
Appreciate your feelings towards this community but personally i think IV need to have a system in place to reimburse expenses incurred towards the administrative costs, as suggested by mgos.
Atleast i think these funds we are collecting now should be directed towards an administrative expenses account for reimbursing you and all other core team IV members for the amount spent already.
Please arrange for setting up an administrative account (or should it suffice to just make the paypal contributions with a specific message saying something like "REIMBURSEMENT").
Thank you Aman & all the other immigration voice members who have spent so much time, energy and resources in advocating on behalf of all of us. I have been working in the non-profit sector for the past 8 years and from experience suggest that in order for this movement/advocacy campaign to sustain it is important for us to have a system in place where core campaign members are reimbursed for their past and recurring expenses. We have contributed to IV previously and would like to pledge $200 towards Aman's expenses.

The thing is we are so much busy in our day to day activities and we forgot:
1. To Thank GOD for what he has given us.
2. To know ourselves that what exactly we want in life.
Try to enjoy all phases/moments of life..
You may want to focus on (and be thankful for) what you have out of the following:
1. Good health (which we often take for granted)
2. US born kids (at least they are citizens, if that's important to you)
3. US education (a different experience for sure)
4. Good savings (all said and done, your bank balance is very important no matter where you stay in the world)
5. Good work experience (this is transferable and more or less ensures a decent future)
6. Loving/caring family/friends (who will always love you the same and couldn't care less about GC or citizenship)
This obviously is not a all-inclusive list. You may have your own things to add here. To me, having all these priceless gifts on the one hand and not having a GC on the other is clearly lopsided for you to be happy!
And after all, we are not "permanent" residents of anywhere, right? :) So, why attach more than necessary importance to a piece of paper during our prime time?

I am not an attorney, but this is what I know:
Yes, you can start a business, but you can't work for this company. Not even write a check on behalf of this company.
You need to hire some one (like a general manager or president) to do these on company's behalf.
You can run the company and earn profits (of course you need to pay taxes).
I do not know whether you can apply a H1 for yourself to work for your company :) , My guess is you can't.

Quota based on race argument is fallacious. For example, Bangladesh and Pakistan are not limited by the quota. However, they are the of the same ethnic/racial background as people from India.
Thats my point. Why are pakistanis getting green cards and nobody is saying they have taken jobs away from Americans? So many come to US on visa free travel, work 6 months undocumented from european countries, yet they are the first to get the GCs while Indians abuse B1, they abuse H1. How come only Indians abuse everything no one else abuses anything?

I do understand that our biggest goal is to reduce backlog. With due respect to your opinion, i suggest that we restrict to july fiasco first and then when we get enough traction with this issue, we can then focus on larger issues like backlog reduction etc.
Now that each one of us breathing hot and cold about july error, we better trade on that line.
Just my 2 cents.

I and my wife transfer notice by mail. I have no idea, why I received them.
I read on the forums where people successfully called USCIS and got their Receipt Number with their name and DOB. However, they mentioned USCIS that they were waiting for more than 90 days to get level 2 IO support.

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.
Did the checks got cashed. ???

USCIS should seperate North Indians and South Indians - We are soooo very different anyways ..... Different language - different look - different food ..... That way all of us North Indians will get our GC sooner :D

That way Maharashtrians who are thought to be North Indians by people from Kerala and thought to be south Indians by people from Punjab, will finally know if they will get their GC in time. IV could not even collect 20K in the Washington DC drive. I hardly saw EB3 folks contributing (based on my observation, I might be wrong so take it easy). If every EB3 person contributes 50USD, it will be enough to run a campaign. Action is the key, not posting in forums. Hope we get out of this EB2 vs EB3 and as focus on visa recapture.
I am EB3 and I contributed to every IV campaign including the last DC advocacy. Just because all IV efforts end up helping only EB2 does not mean EB3 people do not contribute or participate in advocacy efforts. Its just that no one wants to hear about EB3 whether it be USCIS or anyone else. :mad:

United states postal service. My lawyer sent it on june 29 and to this day it's a mestry to me how it was delivered at 10:10 pm at night. I did not think anybody would accept it. BUt if they were working on 25000 in 48 hours. The only reason i think they took it is to finish the number of visa available.
