The list is never ending brother...CHEATING PPL OF THEIR HARD EARNED TAX MONEY IS THE CHEATERS' CULTURE and GETTING CHEATED BY SUCH CHEATERS IS THE COMMON MAN's CULTURE.
Ofcourse, there's corruption and sickos everywhere. But relatively what is better??? When u have an option what do u want to embrace???
Just speaking 100 languages and celebrating 100 festivals and females not mingling with males thus keeping away from social life etc...is not culture. Ur every day news is culture as well. Wake up to reality and make the choice when u have the liberty to make it.
All said, its ur choice end of the day. Weighing b/w the good and bad and if ur tax money is put to good use or what? I think the writing on the wall is clear and can easily make out the differences b/w white and black. But again thats just me. 5 fingers are not the same.
I couldn't have agreed with you more...When I meet people and they say Indian Culture is great, India is Gr8, the life here is boring and kind of nonsense I don't understand Y they are here of course for better life and money. Then Y keep on complaining about the things in life..no body is holding back others to stay here.

@least here I don't need to bribe of simple things like getting my DL license, House registration, Going and meeting a senator, legislative. I don't need to explain to 10 people around my house if I go out and come home late night. These are just a few... I'm 100% sure I would not spend as much as time I spend with my family now excluding the weekends. I can't imagine going early in the morning at 7.00 and coming back home at 9.00 PM watch TV, eat and get to bed. On top of that go to work on weekends deal with relatives, neighbors, colleagues etc etc. Of course How can I forget the CASTE SYSTEM which is becoming as some people call the nation has developed. I cannot imagine my kids growing i the environment where CASTE SYSTEM is so prevalent.
Well that is me and everybody have their own opinions. And good luck to all you want to move or stay.

I have a question from members who are getting ADIT Processing message. When did you file your I-485's? I am trying to figure out if USCIS is approving cases for those who filed recently w/o waiting for the ADIT or is it that the case was filed long time back and the previous ADIT has expired.

Can we setup a separate payment account for those willing to contribute to this campaign? It becomes difficult to coordinate if every individual goes on to mail the flowers. Instead we should all contribute to the "send a flower" campaign and then the person in charge of the account should send those flowers (with the note) on a pre-selected date.
It makes things easier for people and they may be more willing to participate!

By now you should have had your EAD and AP in hand - after FP was done. What was the reason for the delay? Most of these cases got FP notices within 4 weeks of Aug 17th.

Actually that is the more reasonable thing to do but USCIS has again disconnected these two things and left a loophole which makes it eligible to port an earlier priority date irrespective of whether it is EB2 or EB3. That is a flaw in the system in the same way it was in labor substitution. I don't mind people porting to Eb2 as long as they go back in the queue where they were really qualified to be in EB2. Say if you had experience BS+5 before filing in EB3 and for some reason because of employer or attorney you filed in EB3 but now want to go back to earlier date that is fair enough. What is not fair is someone who filed in EB3 because they were in BS+2 in say 2003, become eligible for Eb2 in 2006 but now decide to port in 2010 and are given the priority date of 2003. The fair thing would be to give the PD to that person of 2006 and not 2003 just because they have an approved I-140 of EB-3 from 2003.
That being said, I also believe that the spillover be distributed properly and not just given to EB2. That is also unfair. These are some loopholes that are left when these laws are made. Some category get benefited and some are left out. So if EB3 people start porting we should not be complaining because they have also suffered because of inappropriate spillover rules and is justified if they want to take advantage of this loophole.
I have no problem with porting, but the priority date should be starting from when they acquired required qualifications for the job.
Example, if someone with B.S and 2 years experience had applied in EB3 in 2005 and tries to port now I think it is fair to have the ported PD not in 2005, but 2008 when the person acquired B.S + 5 years experience.
This would automatically address all those folks who deserved to be in EB2 but couldnt either becuase lawyer screwed up or issues with sponsoring company.

As per Mr C.O. of USCIS I guess they have sent out the party invitation for the year so I guess there is no point sniping at each other. New inivitations will start from July next yr...;)

Thanks for your advice. The intent of the letter is to show a different perspective to Senator Sessions. Nothing more or nothig less. He said he did not receive any feedback from legal immigrants. Fine, we say here it comes. If he continues to block legal immigration reform bills, he has to find another pretext, not "no feedback from immigrants".
There is always a rational side in every human being. Senator Sessions is smart. Let us hope Senator Sessions surprises us by bringing his own version of EB immigration reform.

Those who think, their employer is OK - be extra extra cautious. Never, never believe employers. Bottom line is, employers will not care for u, if they know u r gonna benefit out of this, they will do everything they can to avoid this. Most desi employers indulge in sweet talks. Talks will be extremely sweet. Just like how they talk to u before u join the company.
GC filing is a carrot that employers thrive on. They will do anything to aqvoid this situation.
Remember, your problems are not over after filing 485 also. The so called prospective employers who always told u, "I will hire you, if you have a GC or EAD" will now give some other excuse. Basically they want to put u in a position where u have less chances of bargain, thats the whole deal.
Lotsa people go by self employment after filing for EAD (Dunno how - maybe some IV members can explain this) and still do contracting and safely see themselves through their GC.
So basically, we are on our own here. For those dealing with desi employers - I can tell u one thing. U can handle the situation with sweet talk and some diplomacy - desi employers have their own fears. But those dealing with American employers - be extra careful - HR personnel etc... who have sympathy for layed off workers etvc... will try to screw u big time on ur back. If they decide to screw u - they will do it big time and none of ur diplomacy will work there - believe me, I gone through this.
Be smart - stay on top of things, don't waste time and get things done in all possible ways. Get employer letter in whatever way u can. (If you have a letterhead - u know what I am saying ....)

I took a printout of the receiver's signature image and the tracking information from the Fedex website just in case.

Has anyone recently done Canadian Landing with pending 485 and any issues re-entering US with AVR/H1B/Advance Parole?
Any problem with H1-B stamping the same visit as you do Canadian Landing?
Can one apply for a 'Canadian Visitor Visa', while there is a valid (not used) Canadian PR Immigration Visa stamp in your passport?
I would appreciate your replies/experiences.
